Webster Stainless Welded Steel Chain is the American chain answer to highly corrosive conditions often found in such industries as grain, paper, dairy, sugar and food processing, breweries, petroleum and chemical plants.
To give greater wear ability and corrosion resistance, Webster's Stainless Welded Steel Chain is constructed with Type 17-4 PH stainless pins and barrels and Type 316L stainless sidebars. This corrosion resistance which withstands corrosive attacks by a variety of industrial chemicals and solvents and represses chloride pitting. It has excellent welding characteristics.
Webster utilizes Type 17-4 PH stainless in pins and barrels of this chain due to its high strength and hardness, and corrosion resistant qualities. Type 17-4 PH is resistant to corrosive attacks by:
This material is heat treatable, and hardness and tensile levels are increased while resistance to stress-cracking is improved.
