TIFFIN, Ohio – Webster Industries, Inc., an industry leader in conveyor chain, is excited to announce the recently implemented chain identification tool – the Chain Wizard.

This tool is designed for customers to use in order to identify a chain in the field or select a chain that may work best in their application.

The user will begin by selecting and designating the criteria in the Chain Wizard. Questions like chain type, sidebar thickness, bushing/barrel diameter, roller style, etc. will be asked in order to help find the chain that they are looking for. Imputing as much information as possible into the Chain Wizard will lead to a narrowed search result. As the user makes selections, chains will be automatically eliminated that do not meet the criteria selected. Ultimately, one specific chain will be identified. The Chain Wizard database contains all of the chains in the Webster Master Catalog.

Some users may not have the exact dimensions, or do not have a specific chain they are looking for. A new feature of the Chain Wizard that will improve the overall customer’s experience is the ability to save and compare up to six chains. The user will select multiple chains and have the ability to compare their dimensions. This will help users to find the chain that fits their needs and application. Additionally, once a user finds a chain they can access the chain details like specifications, attachments and 3D drawings right from the results box on the Chain Wizard homepage.
