TIFFIN, Ohio – Webster Industries, Inc., an industry leader in conveyer chain, sprockets, and vibratory equipment, is excited to announce the hiring of Ryan Motil as the new Plant Manager at our Tiffin location, effective August 19, 2024.

This strategic addition to our leadership team aligns with our commitment to continuous improvement and innovation, further supporting our rapid growth and pursuit of operational excellence.

Ryan brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our team, with a distinguished career spanning 13 years in management and 27 years in engineering, particularly within automotive, injection molding, and manufacturing environments. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Akron and a Master Certificate in Lean Manufacturing from the University of Michigan. His extensive background, most recently as Operations Manager at ABC Technologies, positions him as a dynamic leader well-equipped to drive our plant’s success.

In his previous roles, Ryan demonstrated a remarkable ability to enhance plant performance, reduce costs through Lean manufacturing principles, and lead continuous improvement initiatives across multiple facilities. His leadership was pivotal in achieving direct labor reductions as high as 75%, expanding R&D capabilities, and implementing cutting-edge technologies like robotic automation and 3D printing. His experience with project management, process improvements, and maintaining a strong focus on operational excellence will be invaluable as we continue to grow and innovate.

At our Tiffin facility, Ryan will be responsible for leading our dedicated team, many of whom have been with us for an average of 12 years. He will focus on coaching and mentoring both direct and indirect reports, enhancing communication and accountability, and driving critical continuous improvement activities. With his hands-on approach, Motil will act as a key change agent, ensuring that our operations remain efficient, sustainable, and aligned with our strategic goals.
