Webster Industries, Inc., an industry leader in conveyor chain, sprockets and vibrating equipment, is excited to announce Sam Bohanan has been named Product Manager of sprocket product line.
Bohanan started his career at Webster in 1996 in the link weld department and later that year moved into the office to join the Webster Inside Sales team. Shortly after that, Bohanan was promoted to the management ranks and has held various roles including Inside Sales Manager, Roller Chain Product Manager, Corporate Inside Sales Manager, Sales IT Integration Manager and ultimately the Specialty Castings Product Manager. In this new role, Bohanan will be accountable for the sprocket product line that Webster is aiming to see grow 50% from 2021 to 2022.
In an interview, Bohanan stated “I am fortunate to be able to continue to work with great people from management to the shop floor. I am looking forward to communicating and interacting both internally and with our customers to capitalize on the tremendous growth opportunities and provide superior value and quality for our sprocket products.”
In this role, he will be the sales lead for Webster’s newest product line and a member of the pilot program for our Operational Excellence, Team-Based initiatives. This team will collaborate to evaluate, improve, optimize processes and order flow to increase our speed to market and place our employees in positions to best utilize and grow their skills.

This challenge and project management is nothing new to Bohanan. He was Webster’s Master Configurator for years and worked diligently to integrate and enhance the previous ERP system, creator of the original Chain Wizard identification tool and various website upgrades.
